HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!
There is some debate about the actual birthdate of Jesus Christ today on some sites I go to.
Still people want to celebrate his birth on the exact day, minute, second. We all want to be correct. We want Jesus to be proud that we care so much. We attend all the church events during Christmas. We buy all the best presents. Decorate with all the newest bells and whistles. Find the biggest tree. Cook all the favorites. Chirstmas has become another season all unto itself. We must not forget what humble begginings our Lord came from. He only wanted a room at the inn. He only wanted us to love each other. I want to honor Jesus respectfully some day and without all the hype. I feel like my church does with the candlelight service on Christmas Eve-Eve and Eve. We all come together to sing, take communion, and listen to the sermon.
