I watched a movie and a documentary on television recently.
One, I have wanted to see since it's debut, Capote and the other a tragedy I wanted to know more about, Witness to Waco.
The first Capote. I thought was going to be an informative/biographical movie about the author and what he did to make the book. Capote gathering facts, getting interviews. It was, much more. I like how the movie showed how Truman was changed from then on.
The second was about Waco. Now all that word makes me think of is David Koresh. Sad. Many people talked about Koresh's genius and his eventual madness. What drives a person to such extremes?
I probably wanted to know more about Waco because of the 1995Oklahoma City bombing and that Timothy McVeigh planned it for the second anniversary of Waco. Retaliation.
What makes a seemingly good man and a soldier, turn into a terrorist?
I had aunt and uncle and cousins in Oklahoma City at the time.
